The Moving Wall Project
FLAGS OF REMEMBRANCE: THE SANILAC COUNTY FLAG PROJECT
The intent of the Sanilac County Flag Project is to memorialize our deceased veterans, as well as honor our living veterans, having Sanilac County roots. A one time $200 contribution will secure the special tribute for your veteran including a new 3-foot by 5-foot American Flag mounted on a 10-foot wooden flagpole, placed in a ground base, directly behind an engraved plaque representing each veteran. The flags and plaques are placed on the Sanilac County Courthouse Campus during the days around: Memorial Day last Monday of May (deceased veterans only), Flag Day June 14th, Independence Day July 4th, Patriots Day September 11th, and Veterans Day November 11th.
