PROGRAM

FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR
 
We are offering unlimited enrollment in all grades. Applicant(s) must be a resident of Sanilac County or a contiguous county, i.e., Huron, Tuscola, Lapeer, or St. Clair County.

Sandusky Schools has a dedicated, hard working, caring staff, and many other good things to offer your student(s). Community resources include Sandusky District Library, St. Clair County Community College, Baker College, Great Lakes College, Davenport College, Sanilac Career Center, Gifted & Talented Programs, Head Start, State-of the-Art Athletic Facilities, School Improvement Committee, area mentors, and service organizations.

Maple Valley

Grades Pre-K-4, Golden Apple Award Winner, Michigan School Readiness Program (MSRP) for 4-year-olds, Young Fives Program, All-day-Every-day Kindergarten with four certified teachers, Music, Physical Education, Library Skills, Battle of the Books, Parent Group, Title I program recognized by the State as Exemplary, Counseling Department, Overall student/teacher ratio is 22 to 1.

Middle School

Grades 6-8, Student Council, Band, Spanish, Life Skills/Health, Battle of the Books, County Spelling Bee, Quiz Bowl, Science & Social Studies Olympiad, State-of-the Art Computer Lab, Builders Club, Full Service Counseling Dept., small group tutoring, DARE, Ski Club, Travel Club, Middle School & Team Sports Programs, Overall student/teacher ratio is 20 to 1.

High School

Grades 9-12, Academic Games (trophy winner 14 years), N.H.S., Student Council, Team Sports & Fine Arts Programs, Jazz, Concert, and Marching Band, CAD, Community Service student groups, AP courses, Full Service Counseling Department, Dual Enrollment, small group tutoring, flexible after-school tutoring, $420,000 in scholarships earned (Class of 2010), State-of-the-Art Computer Labs, 97% graduation rate, 89% graduates enrolled in post-secondary programs, Highest ACT scores for a district in the county, Overall student/teacher ratio is 22 to 1.
